Of course, when I say “dinner,” I really mean “sign up for the book sale.” But you know this. What you may not know is how to go about signing up. For that, see Emily Brower’s announcement below:
The time has come for our annual book sale fundraiser, which also means the time has come for you to sign up to help sell books. It’s easy, I promise. All you have to do is sit at a table with books and smile and take money. The sale will happen on April 23rd and 24th from 10:00 to 3:00. You can sign up to help here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aS860sFq2qlEoVaXpsFMQp3kPwlbu4dM5CocVcUjLBk/edit?usp=sharing. I’ll be forever grateful to you if you sign up, and so will the rest of EGSA once they benefit from your fundraising prowess.
One of two things will happen if you sign up: You will have the opportunity to talk about your seminar paper with another bright EGSA member, which will be very helpful to you, or the other bright EGSA member will go get lunch and leave you by yourself so you can complete the reading you need to do in order to write your seminar paper, which is also very helpful to you. That’s what we call a win-win. If you consider that you might even sell a book or two, I guess it’s a win-win-win. Maybe. Anyway, heed the “dinner” bell.
And also send me nominations for next year’s positions. They’ll thank you later.
