EGSA: Spielberg, Jekyll and Hyde

October 6, 2010 EGSA Digests 0

Dear EGSA,

Just a reminder, as Dr. Ferretter writes below, of the Film presentation by Dr. Kendrick on Friday afternoon. This will get you ready for next weeks film viewing of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and for the lecture on “Visual Art and the Fictions of Adaptation” in two weeks. See the website for more info: www.bayloregsa.org/conference. Watch for more information about a pre-lecture dinner and more exciting info about Terence Hoagwood’s visit in this week’s Digest! You may participate as a platinum, silver, or gold member of any or all of these events… but you will have to locate your own platinum, silver, and gold. Food and/or a movie, however, will be provided.

Happy Hunting! Steve

———————- Dear colleagues,

Just a reminder of the second meeting this semester of the 20th century studies research seminar. We will meet this Friday, October 8th, at 2.30 pm, in the 4th floor Faculty Lounge. Dr Jim Kendrick, from Baylor’s Film and Digital Media division, will present a paper entitled, ‘Rethinking Steven Spielberg’, based on material from the book he is currently writing on Spielberg. All faculty and graduate students are warmly invited to attend. Coffee and cookies will be served.

Best wishes, Luke Ferretter
