In the Next Two Weeks
· PROFF Workshop: Your CV and Cover Letter*
- Tuesday, Oct 25 @3:15-4:45pm in Draper 109
- The curriculum vitae (CV) has for years been the basic “unit of currency” in academic hiring and career development. At its most fundamental, the CV establishes your credentials, qualifications and experience. But can a CV do more? How can your CV and cover letter work together? This workshop teaches the considerations of both content and structure in CVs and cover letters that apply in different situations. Bring your CV, because most of this workshop will consist of personal consultation with faculty. See http://www.baylor.edu/graduate/index.php?id=85124 for more info. *Registration required.

·  Conference: Educating for Wisdom in the 21st Century University
- Thursday, Oct 27 through Saturday, Oct 29 @Bill Daniel Student Center, events across these days
- We invite scholars and teachers from across the disciplines, college and university administrators, and students (both undergraduate and graduate) to join us as we explore these questions:
- What is the nature of wisdom? Is it something that we construct, seek, or are drawn into? How do we encounter it in various disciplines? What curricular and co-curricular efforts might encourage wisdom’s formation in students? How might educating for wisdom transform scholarly research? How might Christian universities—drawing upon the resources of the Christian traditions—seek and share wisdom and a love for what is true, good, and most beautiful? How might such wisdom be offered in the service of others?

SET Seminar: Teaching the Millenial Generation*
- Thursday, Nov2 @3-4pm in Jones 216

However, we do share much in common and one shared culture not often discussed in teaching and learning is generational culture. Jeff Doyle, Dean for Student Learning and Engagement, discusses how today’s college students learn differently than college students of the past. Let’s explore some differences and identify how we can enhance millennial students’ learning. *Registration required.
