I was apparently trying to do too many things at once.
I have a few amendments to today’s digest (all of them good news)! SBA, Bad Secretary

Gossip
Are English graduate students scheduled for upcoming mental breakdowns? This week, English grad students comprised almost 50% of the audience at a recent mental health luncheon hosted by the grad school. Topics addressed included stress, anxiety, department politics, and the need for exercise, and the English representatives could only say to themselves, “Yep, that is me Jim Marsh is describing. I am a stress-filled crazypants!†Later on in the week, some students even attended a session about recognizing and preventing suicide in their students. What is going on here? Are the stresses of grading, paper writing, and waiting for the Hunger Games movie to come out destroying us? How can we remedy this? I can’t speak for everyone, but therapy is never a bad choice. In fact, I hear Dr. Margarita holds group sessions Friday night at Chuy’s. The more the merrier!

Trying to do too many things at once? At least you probably don’t look like this guy (if you do, I want a photo). The good news is that these next couple weeks are a bit lighter in events than most. Enjoy the lull by doing more schoolwork, or kazooing, or whatever this guy is doing.
Please take note of the following notices and events regarding the next two weeks of English Graduate Student life, as well as upcoming and ongoing events.
