Announcing the Orientation Chairs

Hello All,
I hope this email finds everyone well during this work-filled middle slump of the semester. Three weeks until Spring Break!

I am sending this email to announce the results of the recent election for the EGSA Orientation Chairs. After the results came in, the leading number of votes went to Sarah Clark and Lindsay Fenton. Both have graciously accepted the position, so they will serve in the coming year as our Orientation chairs.

I want to say thank you to everyone who ran for the position, for this truly is one of the most important things EGSA does for the graduate student population here in the English department. Any help with this committee is greatly appreciated, so I would urge anyone interested to still help with the orientation process, perhaps most importantly with the updating and ongoing development of the new student handbook. If you are interested in helping with next year’s orientation, please contact the new Orientation chairs at Sarah_Clark1@baylor.edu or Lindsay_Fenton@baylor.edu.

In addition, I also urge everyone to be involved in the upcoming prospective student weekend, as Dr. Barcus wants this event to be a success. Let’s all do our best to be as welcoming and active as possible with the prospective students.
