Fall Party, Saturday, 9/20
- Turn up at 601 Dyer Ave around 7 PM
- Obtain entry using the secret password (“I brought food/drink!”)
- Fancy dress. This is American fancy dress (dress up fancy) rather than British fancy dress (dress in a costume).
- Significant others, children, other persons who share your abode welcome. Furry children are not. (Pets. I mean pets. Don’t bring your pets. I’m not discriminating against actual children with fur.)

Parent-Faculty Coffee, Saturday, 9/20
- 9:30-11 AM, Fountain Mall
- All current TAs, remember your obligation: to stand on Fountain Mall and make awkward small talk while waiting for a wayward parent to drift by and interrogate you about your pedagogical practices/fish for praise about their child.
- Also, pick up your nametags in the English office.
- (Knew there was something I forgot to do today.)
TeaCHE
- If you would like to complete the Teaching Capstone in Higher Education (TeaCHE, nice backronym), the intent to participate form is due by Sept 22.
- For what it’s worth, this goes on your transcript so that employers know you are one super legit teacher.
- Final project due by April 17, 2015.

- Learn how to produce short videos so that you can look technologically savvy when you teach your students to do the same.
