EGSA: Rodeo!

October 7, 2010 Event Flyers/Reminders 0

In case you’d like a few tips on lassoing your students into class, consider joining EGSA for a trip to the Rodeo this weekend! Details are below. Contact Heidi Seelke with any questions.

The rodeo is coming up, so of course we should make it an EGSA event–or at least get a group of people to go. I’m thinking this Friday would be best (next weekend costs more money because it’s the rodeo finals). Can you send out an info email about it? I’d like to get the info out before the Friday digest, though. Denise said that as one of the social chairs, I could just send it out to your list, but I’d rather go through you. Seems more legit that way. Okay, here’s the info:

The October event you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Yes, it’s time to explore Texan culture and take a trip to the RODEO!!! Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see live mutton-busting. If you want to go, here’s what you should know:

–We’ll go this Friday, Oct. 8. If you would like to carpool with fellow EGSA friends, meet at the Oaks Apts. parking lot at 5th and Ivy (they have free parking there, so we can leave any unneeded cars). Those wishing to carpool should meet at the Oaks at 5PM. –The fair opens at 4, and the rodeo show begins at 7.
–Tickets are $10 to the fair and rodeo, and we can get tickets at the gate.

–Parking is $5/ car.
–Location: Heart of Texas Fairgrounds at 4601 Bosque Blvd.

Call me at 612-310-3152 if you get lost or want more information. Hope to see you all there! Heidi
