RE: EGSA Digest: Updates and Reminders

October 12, 2010 EGSA Digests 0

Good evening, fellow EGSA-ites,

Dr. Hoagwood just contacted us to let us know that he just received the unfortunate news that he must undergo immediate medical procedures this semester and so will not be available to lecture after all this fall. We may be able to reschedule him for the spring. We have sent our sympathy to Dr. Hoagwood and are announcing the postponement of these events until further notice.

This means there will be no film viewing or any of the other events listed in the last EGSA Digest. And yes, DeAnn, that means we will need to take down all the beautiful posters Melinda made for us. For those of you who don’t already know, Melinda Creech, one of our new graduate students, is a design artist among other things. Check out her design in the outside door to the writing center.

Since illness cannot be rescheduled, we hope to reschedule this lecture in the spring. Dr. Hoagwood sent his sincere apologies for this unexpected turn of events and expressed disappointment that he would not be here this fall. This seems to be the year of a series of unfortunate events. Perhaps the spring will strike a happier note!

Enjoy your time doing other scholarly things this semester…

Sincerely,
Steven Petersheim EGSA Lecture Organizer
