EGSA Digest 11/11/11!

November 11, 2011 EGSA Digests 0

EGSA says, “What happens if I search google images for 11-11-11?”

Greetings. I have decided that it’s too hard to write this opening paragraph every week. It has to be nice, maybe funny, relevant, and not all that important. Since I’m not that funny and I tend to say only important things, I have recruited someone else to help out here. But, alas, that will begin next week. So, pretend this was nice, funny, relevant, but not too important. Now, read about these announcements and events. And try to show up to at least two! I will give a sticker to the person I see at the most events. Promise.

SBA, Secretary

SET Seminar: Understanding the Integration of Faith and Learning*

  • One implication of Baylor’s identity and vision is its commitment to both Christian faith and the pursuit of truth through the intellectual life: a profound and dynamic relationship exists between faith and learning. In this seminar, Baylor’s university chaplain (Burt Burleson) and the director of the Institute for Faith and Learning (Darin Davis) explain this relationship, how it inspires the work of faculty, staff, and students across the University, and how a commitment to faith and learning helps Baylor fulfill its unique mission. More info/register here. *Registration required. [I believe this is in Robinson Tower, so leave yourself plenty of time to get there.]
